Country music has a long standing tradition of artists who write perform and record colorful and captivating story songs with “3 chords and the truth” on 6 strings and a piece of wood. Then there are those selective few who take a different path and create on 88 keys and a bigger piece of wood. Nashville-based Eric Burgett is just that, with his Illinois farm boy upbringing and studying classical piano from an early age.

Sure Billy Joel and Ludwig Van Beethoven have greatly influenced the young artist, but his roots, training and education run deep and wide. Burgett grew up on the family farm in Latham, IL and had several regular performances on an old upright piano at his parents' tavern, The Korn Krib, as well as during the offerings on Sundays at Latham United Methodist Church.

Eric's career has been full of opportunities on the stage, where piano-playing country singer has landed coveted opening slots for the likes of Rodney Atkins, Lee Brice, Frankie Ballard, Jana Kramer, Craig Morgan, and Jim Brickman.

If you make a trip to Nashville, you might catch him playing for Nashville Ballet, church on Sundays, on an episode of "Nashville," or even teaching piano at Belmont University as one of the youngest professors in the school of music. Join Eric Burgett, as he shares his story of life and song, proving that one can do ANYTHING if they just DO IT!

THE MAN, THE ARTIST, THE PASSION.
